NOIA hosts many events throughout the year around the Cleveland area. Most of our event ideas are brainstormed by our Committees and members. Below you will find event highlights from this past fiscal year. We also encourage you to visit our Upcoming Events page to see what we have planned next! 

 

Please note, some events are for NOIA members only. By joining NOIA, you will be invited to all events. We invite members to annual meetings/dinners, social outings, and unique experiences and opportunities that are exclusive to our organization.  Several events are free of charge, and if a cost is included, members receive special member pricing. Members are welcome to bring prospective members to designated outings, as well as invite guests to select events. All events require an RSVP to Angie Ianiro.

Highlights: Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Events

​

July 2022 – Annual Golf Outing

Golfers participated in our outing at Sand Ridge Golf Club.  The afternoon started off a little wet, but the afternoon cleared up and it was a great day. We were able to raise $6,500 for St. Martin De Pores  

 

August 2022 – Bocce Night

Members and non-members attended our annual Bocce Night at the Alta House in Little Italy. It was a fun night of competition, laughter and pizza from Maxi’s. Team Dardis won the tournament.

September 2022 – Annual Meeting and Dinner  

Members attended our annual meeting held at Landerhaven. We shared our new scholarship video with the membership and reviewed the State of the Foundation.

October 2022 – Italian Heritage Month

Columbus Day

Proud Italian Americans (Members and non-members) feasted together on Nido Italia’s patio for our traditional Columbus Day Luncheon in Little Italy following the annual Parade.

Michael Angelo’s Winery

Members gathered together at the winery for dinner and a presentation on four different wines served at the facility.

Olive Oil Tasting

Members gathered at the Olive Scene in Chagrin Falls for a tasting and dinner.

Networking Breakfast

Members gathered at Tri-C Campus to hear from Trustee Claire Rosacco about her experiences and career path.

 

November 2022 – Member Meet and Greet

Members and prospective members gathered on the patio of Maxi’s to meet current members and to hear more about the Foundation.  We welcomed 8 new members from this event.

December 2022 – Pier W Christmas Party

Members and their guests celebrated the holiday season at Pier W for our annual event. This event is one of the Foundation’s favorites.

 

January 2023 – 

Consulate Event

Members gathered at Michael Angelo’s in Little Italy to hear from our honorary consulate Ezio Listati and our Consulate Allegra Paola on owning land in Italy.

Cooking with Anthony Quagliata

NOIA couples joined us for a virtual cooking class with Anthony Quagliata. The zoom event included some great recipes and our favorite cheese dishes from Miceli’s Dairy Company.

February 2023 – Service Event

Members gathered at Ronald McDonald House to make a pasta dinner for the residents.

 

March 2023 –

La Festa della Donna

The women of NOIA and their prospective female guests celebrated International Women’s Day at the Alta House. The evening highlighted our strong Italian American females and 3 presentations from female members on healthy living, including advocacy, mind and body

An Afternoon with Rossella: Cooking with Nonna

Members and non-members gathered at Flour Restaurant in Moreland Hills to hear from Cookbook author Rosella Rago. All attendees received an autograph copy of her latest cookbook.

April 2023 –

Networking Event

Members gathered at the Miceli Dairy Company to hear the history and legacy of the Miceli family.   All participants received a care package from the dairy.   Lunch was provided by Anthony Quagliata and showcasing the Miceli Products.  

Prospect Event

Prospective members gathered at Maxi’s in Little Italy to discuss NOIA and meet prospective members of the Foundation. We welcomed 6 new members from this event.

 

May 2023 – Service Event

Members volunteered their time and packed food for families in need at the Cleveland Food Bank.

​

June 2023 – Scholarship Dinner

Members, scholarship recipients and their family members attended a dinner at LockKeepers in Independence to acknowledge and celebrate the students and their accomplishments.
