MEMBERSHIP OVERVIEW

WE ARE COMMITTED TO RECORDING AND PRESERVING THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF OUR ITALIAN HERITAGE AND CULTURE TO OUR SOCIETY. WE RELY ON YOUR INVOLVEMENT TO CONTINUE TO DEVELOP PROGRAMS. WITH YOUR SUPPORT, NOIA WILL BE ABLE TO CONTINUE TO HELP OUR YOUNG LEADERS OF TOMORROW.

MEMBERSHIP LEVELS

Membership is extended to all individuals and businesses interested in helping the people and causes of the Italian-American community in Northern Ohio. Seven levels of membership are available with contributions made annually:

​

  • Associate Membership – (22-30 years of age) $250

  • Intermediate Membership – (31-40 years of age) $500

  • General Membership – $1,000

  • Trusteeship – $5,000

  • Generational Membership – (2 members + 2 trustees) $10,000

  • Spousal Membership – (2 members) First member pays full contribution amount, second member pays half* 

  • Lifetime Membership**

*Discount applies to the lesser membership fee

**Lifetime Membership is granted upon the approval of the Board of Trustees to any individual or business that makes a lump sum contribution of $50,000 or more. A Lifetime member will maintain Member status unless he/she pays annual dues of $4,000, which then entitles him/her to Trustee privileges.

TRUSTEES

Trustees have a very special role in the Foundation. The Trustees of the Northern Ohio Italian American Foundation are an influential core group whose recommendations, opinions and contributions impact the decisions NOIA makes to support local Italian-American causes and institutions.

MEMBERSHIP PROCESS

Candidates for membership are nominated by current members and subject to a review by the Membership Committee after submitting an application. As an organization, our goal is to grow the active membership by finding individuals who are committed to the mission and values of the Foundation.

CONTRIBUTIONS

Membership contributions are collected annually and can be paid online at our website using Pay Pal. Our fiscal year is July 1- June 30. We have also set up direct payments monthly, quarterly and annually. The Northern Ohio Italian American Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Your support is tax deductible. Please consult your tax advisor for advice.

AMICI PROGRAM

NOIA offers an Amici Program for new members. This friendship system is designed to welcome you into NOIA and help you discover all the enriching opportunities and experiences that exist within our Foundation. Best of all, you’ll find your fellow NOIA members to be some of the most important relationships you’ll ever forge as we join together to celebrate, honor and preserve our Italian American heritage, culture and values.
